Privacy policy
Effective October 31, 2026. This policy describes this version of Cognition Origin and the services it actually uses.
Your naming inputs
The naming generator runs in your browser. We do not submit your descriptions, keywords, or generated names to an AI provider or our application server. Do not enter confidential business plans or sensitive personal information. Page requests still pass through the hosting infrastructure.
Local storage and cookies
Saved names and any saved analysis, story drafts, introduction drafts, and test notes are stored in browser localStorage so the shortlist survives a refresh. A saved introduction may include the brief you entered. This version does not set advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. Local storage is limited to the shortlist and privacy preferences. You can clear saved names through Privacy choices or your browser settings.
Hosting and technical data
Our hosting provider necessarily processes requests, which may include IP addresses, browser headers, requested paths, and timestamps, for delivery and security. We have not configured an application analytics database or a user profiling system. Hosting infrastructure retention follows its provider configuration.
Domain lookups and external links
Clicking a domain lookup sends the candidate domain to Verisign’s public .com RDAP endpoint. The provider receives your IP address and request metadata. If you follow links to a registrar, trademark office, or another site, that service applies its own privacy policy. No lookup is made until you request it.
Contact information
If you email us, your email provider and ours process your message. We use the address, message, and any information you choose to share to respond and address the request. Do not include identity documents or payment data. We retain correspondence only as needed to resolve and document the inquiry; contact us to request deletion.
Advertising and future changes
This version does not load Google AdSense, AdX, ad personalization technology, or third-party analytics. If advertising is introduced, this policy and consent controls must be updated before those services are enabled. Where required, consent will be requested before non-essential storage or tracking.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a copy of information. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to your local supervisory authority. Children and international processing
This service is intended for general business and creative use, not specifically for children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal data. Hosting and email providers may process requests outside your country; contact us with location-specific concerns.
Security and policy updates
